Halloween party to raise money for the Food Depot’s Food 4 Kids program, feeding Santa Fe’s public school children.
In light of New Mexico’s status as the worst state in the country for food insecurity and child welfare, Santa Fe’s Tanti Luce 221 will be hosting a Halloween event that aims to help feed the city’s hungry public school children on October 26, 2013 from 8 pm to 12 am. In collaboration with the Food Depot, Tanti Luce will give all net proceeds to funding Food 4 Kids at Agua Fria Elementary School, a school with a poverty rate of 99%. Funds will help fill backpacks with healthy foods for children to allow them to avoid skipping meals at night and on the weekends when the schools aren’t feeding them.
The event, whose ticket price of $60 aims to be inclusive to most income levels, will take place outside on Tanti Luce’s new downtown deck and will include:
-$60 entry fee per person
-Open bar for three hours (8-11 pm) featuring Santa Fe Brewing Company and Blue Corn Brewery beer and Vodka Viracocha, Hacienda Gin, Naranjo Liqueur, and Taos Lightning Whiskey cocktails
-DJ Your Boy Reflex
-Hors d’ouervres from Tanti Luce
Tickets can be purchased at halloweensantafe.eventbrite.com.
The signature program sponsor is Walmart. Event sponsors include Santa Fe Brewing Company, Rancho de los Luceros/KGB Spirits, Black Mesa Winery and Blue Corn Brewery and Santa Fe Anesthesia Specialists.
