Event Description

The 8th Annual Winter Indian Market will be held Thanksgiving weekend, November 30-December 1, 2013 at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. 

A smaller, more intimate version of summer Indian Market--an event that attracts 175,000 visitors to Santa Fe each August--Winter Indian Market is held during Santa Fe's magical winter season. Winter Indian Market gives visitors an opportunity to spend time interacting with their favorite artists and the opportunity to discover new ones.

Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, 9am to 5pm 
Admission is $10 per day. $15 for a weekend pass. Members and children are free. Performances and film screenings are included with admission. Tickets are available at the door. 

This year's show includes: 
 

  • 200+ Native artists from the US and Canada
  • Five open studio artist demonstrations by award-winning artists Troy Jackson, Teri and Aaron Cajero, Bryant Honyouti, and Earl Plummer
  • Screening of 2013 Class X film winners (list below): Saturday and Sunday, 11am
  • Performance by world champion hoop dancer and Cirque du Soleil star Nakotah LaRance in collaboration with Brian Frejo who will play the Native flute, hand drum and a mix of hip hop beats : Saturday and Sunday, 1:30pm
  • NextGen Performing Arts Workshop Showcase: Saturday 3pm
  • Fashion row featuring the work of Native fashion designers
  • Youth artist area with hands-on activities and a youth art exhibit
  • Silent auction including artwork donated by SWAIA artists and fabulous items from local businesses
  • Raffle - two holiday trees with one-of-a-kind handmade ornaments designed by renowned SWAIA artists
