Absolute beginner dulcimer workshops will be offered with instrument rentals available, and no-cost loaner instruments for some of the other workshops. The festival includes Master classes, jams, open mic, on-site meals, on-site music/instrument vendor, and public concerts (7pm each night: Appalachian, Cajun, Celtic, Classical, Folk, Hymns & Gospel, Old-Time, Rock, Pop). 2013 Headliners are Lois Hornbostel (Mel Bay’s Dulcimer Sessions Editor) and Ehukai Teves (HOKU Award winner – Hawaiian Grammy) from Bryson City NC; Aaron O’Rourke (2010 National Mountain Dulcimer Champion) with fiddler Katie Geringer from Tallahassee, FL; Brenda Hunter (1996 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion) with eclectic Celtic band Banshee in the Kitchen of Bakersfield, CA; Dan Landrum (Dulcimer Player News Editor, toured internationally with Greek musician, Yanni) of Signal Mountain, TN; and Tina Gugeler (2000 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion) of Erie, CO.
