Hello, I’m Jim Glover, That Branding Guy, for Once a Day Marketing™. Today is Strategic Tuesday and we are discussing the importance of creating a personal brand.

On our radio show Ask Those Branding Guys, we spoke with Tom Becka, renowned author of "There's No Business Without the Show." Becka discussed the importance of using show business branding techniques to create a personal brand. For instance, Tom Hanks isn't just an actor, he's Academy Award-Winner Tom Hanks. Such a distinction immediately creates a different impression in our mind. Becka emphasized the importance of each of us developing a personal brand that enables us to differentiate from others.

Also appearing on the show was Tom Trujillo, branded as "The Right Realtor" under the Keller Williams real estate brand. Trujillo reiterated the importance of developing a personal sub-brand especially when working for a larger company.
