Hoof Prints in Santa Fe
Susie Morgan is a lifetime lover of horses, the outdoors and lives for adventures. She lives in Las Campanas, and is reconnecting with horses after working 27 years in New York City.
Due to popular demand, Mortensen’s Silver and Saddle is again hosting the Vaquero Horsemanship & Ranch Clinic. Practice is Saturday May 30 with competition on Sunday May 31. This event is always well-attended by riders and observers.
The entry participation fee is $300 for both days and includes cattle charges. Spectators can audit each day for a $25 fee. Both days the hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you are not already familiar with Clint Mortensen’s work, he is internationally known for very fine custom silver and leather work.
Shown here is a Santa Fe custom saddle bag (and the saddle was also custom made at Mortensen’s). The ranch/shop/tack store is located on Bonanza Creek Road off Highway 14 just a bit south of the San Marcos Café and Feed Store.
UPDATE: THREE PARTICIPATION SPOTS JUST OPENED UP. AUDIT SPOTS ARE UNLIMITED
Call Mortensen’s to reserve your spot in the Clinic at 424-9330.
