"I was lucky enough to create a fun hot air balloon-themed baby shower for twins..."

You’ve all heard the adage, "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage." You’ll understand that here at the Hitching Post, not only are there weddings happening everywhere, but there are baby showers too! I was lucky enough to create a fun hot air balloon-themed baby shower for twins, a boy AND a girl! Not just pink, not just blue, but both!
I was on cloud nine filling up giant helium balloons for my World’s Fair style hot air balloons. I crafted circle disk garlands (how-to here) and colorful paper rosettes for added punch. The balloon baskets sat on little baby’s breath clouds, which couldn’t have been more appropriate for a baby shower!
Then, there was candy.
There were 80 guests so I made sure there was plenty of sugar to go around! Our candy display had a variety of tooth decay-inducing goodies like blue raspberry gummy bears, chocolate bars, puffy marshmallow poles, salt water taffy, gummy rings, chocolate bars….and cake!
I was just in love with the adorable (and coordinating) goodie bags from Shop Sweet Lulu.
