Two Sunrises

In my capacity as a hiking tour guide around Santa Fe, I've had the good fortune to have as guests numerous professional and serious amateur photographers intent on capturing our magnificent  landscapes.  As one visiting photographer was quick to point out, the best days are the ones with some clouds.  They add drama and balance to a landscape shot.

So as I stood shivering in my PJs at dawn this morning, too transfixed by the changing light to go back inside for a jacket, I recalled that particular photographer's enthusiasm for clouds.
