band breaks down the set

people wander yonder

wait!

music beckons

where does it come from?

a man with curly blond hair

shares a ballad

the tip bag with flowers

a few CD's

his guitar and amplifier

serenades those who will listen.

park bench empty

people sit to rest

and listen,

people drop money

everyone gently applauds.

he sings for free

he sings with his heart

a summer's dream

with police vehicles

and motorcycles

and time

to relax, rest

and be glad

for Santa Fe Plaza

and the musician who

can sing for free.
