Encore Event - 8th National Day of the Cowboy at Clint Mortenson’s July 28

Champion Cowboy and Santa Fe’s own silversmith, Clint Mortenson, is hosting events and a Swap Meet to celebrate the National Day of the Cowboy. Open to everyone. No admission fee!

Tack Swap

Bring your old gear to sell or trade. Free set up - Bring your saddles and used tack, boots, hats and western gear to SWAP, SELL or BUY on Saturday, July 28 -- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Festivities will include cowboy polo and kids games. Come watch the team roping, or get into the barrel racing. See the rare white buffalo and take a ride in the stagecoach!

Concession lunch by the famous chuck wagon cook Carl Hawkins. This will be a fun Western day for all!

The Mortenson Arena is located at 96 Bonanza Creek Road in Santa Fe. To get there from I-25, go south on Hwy 14 (Turquoise Trail) for 8 miles. Just past San Marcos Café, turn right on Bonanza Creek Rd. Mortenson’s is about 1 mile down on the left just past Thall’s Veterinary Hospital.

Ride the Valle Caldera Grande

Buck Brannaman Comes to Santa Fe

You may have seen the movie, Buck, now meet the man and watch him work.

Legendary horseman Buck Brannaman is coming to The Trinity Ranch in Santa Fe on September 7 for four days of clinics. The audit fee per day is $25 per person and you are encouraged to bring a chair, coolers and cover from the sun.

The clinic will begin at 9 a.m. sharp each day. The clinics are progressive using the same horses each day so that you can see on Monday what 4 days of work has produced. If you miss this year, Buck will be back at The Trinity Ranch in 2014!
