December 10, 2011 was an exceptionally beautiful morning for Santa Fe. The air was sharply clear and cold. The sky was was a pearly blue-grey. Then to watch the earth’s shadow gradually projected onto the surface of the moon was breath-taking. I could actually sense the axis of the sun-earth-moon in a line. Just minutes after the eclipsed moon set, the sun rose, silently showing us the energy behind the shadow. If you missed this one, your next chance to see this in Santa Fe won’t be until Tax Day of 2014. I feel grateful to have had the chance to see this.
