Well, the truth be known, I had a pretty big bike crash during my Spain trip and that has definitely put a damper on my riding enthusiasm. So, I've turned to food for solace. Last night, I attended my umpteenth cooking class over at Las Cosas with Johnny Vee, world famous chef. His guest was Pat Harrison, a wonderful chef in his own right, and a wealth of information about Indian cooking and cuisine. Harrison learned his skills through a six-month stay in India, and from cooking at Raaga Restaurant. We made everything from scratch, from Chicken Curry and Yellow Lentil Dal to  Cumin Rice, Spiced Cauliflower and Potatoes and an outstanding, star-of-the-show dessert, Scented Rice Pudding with Cardamom. The fragrances of this meal defy description.

Here are some photos of the event. It's always fun, and what I like best is that we get to eat what we make. Plus there's usually plenty of surplus for taking home. I had Chicken Curry and Chapati for breakfast today! I never tire of these classes, and I've only had great experiences. Johnny Vee has done an outstanding job with this program. Always fun...
