I suspect if you need me to clarify who “Maceo” is, you may not be interested. The rest of you, plan to check out the legendary Maceo Parker (famously of the James Brown Band) this Saturday during the FREE Nob Hill Summerfest in Albuquerque.
Stretching over about a mile’s worth of historic Route 66 (a.k.a. Central Ave.) this Saturday, July 23rd, from 2-10:30 p.m., this street fair features live music, an artisan market, a kid’s zone, a food court, and a car show.
Central Avenue will be closed between Girard and Washington. The City of Albuquerque is encouraging parking at the UNM lot on the corner of Central & Girard, or the American Inn on Central & Adams. A free shuttle by ABQ Trolley Co. will run between Girard and Washington on Central for festival-goers.
