The New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program allows New Mexico small businesses facing a technical challenge to access the unique expertise and capabilities of Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. At no cost to the business, small businesses with a technical challenge can seek assistance from lab scientists or engineers for projects that require testing, design consultation and access to special equipment or facilities.

They have helped over 1,700  small businesses in all 33 New Mexico counties solve their technical challenges~for FREE. This is a state-funded program that has been in operation for more than 10 years. Encouraging success stories are all over their website. If you think “Our business isn’t anything like the labs; their expertise wouldn’t apply to us…..” you’d be wrong. They have helped such businesses as an alpaca wool processing company, a coffee company, a vet and so many more. Any business could benefit from their business development support.

Encourage bosses, co-workers, and business owners to check it out and take advantage of this free resource. This kind of assistance can result in a big improvement to the bottom line, and will help all of New Mexico.
