"Belisama offers a highly personalized dance experience for people of all ages"

Liz Simon is a photographer, writer and cyclist who likes to combine the three in her quest to discover the nooks and crannies of New Mexico. Sometimes, means of transportation other than bicycle are employed---including the Rail Runner and motorcycle.
Today, I visited the dance studios of the Belisama School of Contemporary Dance, here in Santa Fe. As a lover of all genres of “the dance,” I couldn’t resist this invitation to see first hand what was going on.
Belisama offers a highly personalized dance experience for people of all ages. And, as Dance Director and Founder Adrienne Bellis is quick to point out, “Belisama is not just Irish anymore!”
The school is located at 901 West San Mateo in Santa Fe, and consists of spacious dance studios complete with the expected floor to ceiling mirrors.
There are many wonderful programs to choose from, including one called the Kick Start Classes. These are aimed at students, ages 10 through 18, who wish to study various forms of dance, including, but not limited to modern, ballet and jazz.
I made a video of my interview with Bellis and Artistic Director Annie Kohn. I’m going to let them tell the story in their own words. But I would like to say that this school is something to keep your eye on and become involved with. Please check out their schedule below and also, please visit their website for more detailed info.
