Balloon Fiesta at Santa Claran in May

The Santa Claran Hotel and Casino, located in Espanola, will be the site of the Northern New Mexico Wine and Balloon Fiesta May 19-20.

The event will be staged at the casino from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free.   According to Maureen Holden, executive director of marketing, the family-friendly event is being held in partnership with the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and seven northern New Mexico wineries.

There will be activities for children, live music, DJs and for the adults, a special wine tasting section on the Plaza behind the sports bar from 12 noon to 6 p.m.  There is a $20 charge for the wine tasting.

The Santa Claran is beginning a Summer Dance Series every Thursday beginning at 9 p.m. in the events center.  There is no charge.  You must be age 21+ to enter...

The big monthly gaming promotion is a chance to win a camper.  Players can earn entries every Friday and Saturday and on the entire Memorial Day weekend for a chance to win the prize.
