The Cuisine of Carmen
The tragic story of the fiery gypsy in “Carmen” is the focus of this demo cooking class, part of the Santa Fe Culinary Academy's Foods of the Classic Operas series. At Georgia's Table
Georgia O'Keeffe kept a garden at her Abiquiu home and had a unique perspective on food for her era, dining on simple seasonal foods, often from her garden. The menu includes Arugula Salad with Herb Dressing, Corn Soup, Baked Chicken with Lemon, Fried Potatoes and Norweigian Apple Pie Cake with Rum Sauce. Santa Fe School of Cooking, Friday, August 15, 10 a.m.
Celebrate summer at this Estrella Del Norte Vineyard culinary event, where chefs from the Santa Fe School of Cooking will prepare a meal for guests with the very freshest of ingredients outside, in the middle of the vineyard, using a wood-burning oven or charcoal grill. Saturday, August 16, 10 a.m. Because this class is limited to 24 people, the event is offered again on Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m.
