Topic: Trips & Quips

I moved to Santa Fe in 2000...am an avid skier, cyclist (including motorcycles), gourmet cook, graphic designer, and photographer. I love to write about these activities, wherever they lead me. Also have this oddball interest in early music, and early languages...troubadours and all that good stuff, but haven't found the occasion to write about that---not sure I'd be anywhere near qualified to do so. When I lived in Geneva, Switzerland, I was constantly drawn to The Museum For Ancient Instruments up in the Old Town. I attended their concerts too. Whenever I showed up at the museum, the owner would open one of the cases, take out an instrument, and play something, or tell me about it. (Anyway...I have never met even one other person who doesn't immediately fall asleep at the mention of this subject, so you can all wake up now. It's over.)
I'm studying Spanish at the community college and am having "Classroom Culture Shock". Really had forgotten what that's like...exams, homework, and the whole bit. Loving the language nevertheless (and of course am tracking this emerging link back to medieval songs in Spanish---in case I'm not confused enough already).
Currently I have a personal blog which features my activities and commentaries with lots of photographs. Come on over sometime. My email address is there as well for those of you who don't "do" Facebook etc. (Trips and Quips).
Hasta luego.
