Next 2 the Tracks

Desert Rock.

Biography

Rising from the heart of the rugged southwest with looks to fit, Next 2 the Tracks is rock & roll at its roots! No gimmicks or need for hype, just groove, great songwriting and sexy guitar riffs. Tony Sanchez (Guitar) and Christian Talamantes (Vocals) met in El Paso TX in the fall of 2003, and have been making music and touring together ever since.  After playing with several drummers and bass players Tony and Christian met Todd Seelau (drums) who soon after introduced them to Jonny Bang (Bass).  With a sound deeply rooted and influenced by the meshing of southwestern cultures, landscape and wildlife, The Track’s sound also shows the influence of some of the best blues based rock groups ever i.e., Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, The Black Crowes, with hints of the bands Latino roots.  Next 2 the Tracks has recently shifted their home base from the desert of El Paso Texas and Las Cruces New Mexico up North to Albuqueruqe and Santa Fe, New Mexico!  "Our goal is to take what we love about the people, spirit and natural surroundings of the southwest to everyone we meet and perform for no matter how far from home we may be, we carry that with us." Next 2 the Tracks are currently promoting their most recent release an EP entitled Caballo de Lumbre (Horse of Fire). The album was recorded and mixed In Los Angeles, California by well know producer Dave Dominguez who has worked with the likes of Guns n Roses, Staind, Papa Roach, and more.  The band is currently working on new songs and hopes to be back in the studio soon all the while touring and performing at venues throughout the southwest and elsewhere.
