John Black sings and plays guitar and harmonica and sometimes astounds audiences by doing all in the same song.  He has been accused of playing Folk, Blues, Celtic, World and Rock music with grace and style which he has neither confirmed nor denied. His music has been selected for these compilation CDs “Minnesota Homegrown” a collection of Minnesota’s best singer/songwriters “The Last Bar” a collection of Minnesota’s best Celtic musicians “Strings Along the North Shore” a collection of some of the best solo Guitarists of the Upper Mid-West. John has signed with New Folk Records producers of “Strings Along the North Shore”. They are now promoting his recordings “Acoustic Guitar Solos” and “O Tannenbaum” internationally. He is currently working on material for his next recording. A graduate of the music program at Naropa University with 25 years of experience performing and recording John has worked with bands, theater companies and as a solo performer throughout the United States. John is noted for his rich vocals and accomplished playing.
