Recordings made at Frogville have spun on over 150 radio stations in the USA and Europe and Japan. Winning awards since 2004, Frogville has gathered some of the finest songwriters and musicians in the world to make some of the most enjoyable original music ever made in the south west. In 2009 Hutton Broadcasting invited Frogville to host their own radio hour on KBAC to showcase new music on the local and national scene that was coming out of the studio and the label. Every year Frogville holds a music festival and fundraiser called Frog Fest to raise money for projects both in the works and on the near horizon.
Everyone who knows what is going on in Santa Fe wants to head up the hill to Frogville to record their next project. Head engineer, musician and producer Bill Palmer can help you make your project the best it can possible be. Assistant engineer Jason Reed can also run your sessions and assist your engineer or producer in getting familiar with our control room. Catering to real musicians that play real instruments and music of all kinds, live tracking, overdub, mixing, mastering, voice overs, ADR with ISDN telos for film, tv, soundtracks, sound design, orchestrations, original content and quality is paramount. Frogville's studio rates are competitive, and for so many musicians who got less than they paid for at other studios, we promise to give you the most bang for your buck right here!
Frogville records and recording studios began in 2003 by John Treadwell, Nathan Moore and Bill Palmer. Nathan brought the artists, Bill captained the console in the studio and provided the musicians with a conduit to the gear, all which slowly took over John's house and his bank account. They cut their teeth on projects by Hundred Year Flood, Joe West, Nathan Moore and ThaMuseMeant, Goshen, and a slew of local acts as they got better and better at the recording process, the psychology and the gear. The first 30 records were cut to analog tape but now they are state of the art Pro Tools HD and have over 100+ albums to their credit. In 2009 mid recession Frogville finally got the loan to build and remodel tripling the original square footage. Designed by John Treadwell and Blain Young, the new addition is stunning, a huge tracking room, a vocal booth, an amp room, 2 iso rooms and a bunkhouse upstairs that can sleep 8, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, laundry, vibe and views. A destination residential studio on a hill overlooking the Santa Fe valley, mountains and stars.
Call for an appointment to tour the facility or book time. Our engineers or yours, Frogville has the best sounding tracking room in the south west for drums, bands, ensembles, choirs, small orchestras, string & horn sections or full mariachi bands.
