    Stacey Neff

    Great art requires the embrace of creativity and abandonment of fear

    Biography

    Artist Stacey Neff is known for pioneering new forms of art glass.  She exhibits sculpture internationally, founded and directs the non profit arts organization New Mexico Experimental Glass Workshop, and has authored cutting edge artist centric art market programs.  From 1994 – 1998, after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Glass, Stacey managed a production glass company acting as Vice President for Glass Improvement in Espanola, NM.  Between 1994 – 2010, Stacey had many solo and museum exhibits internationally; her artwork added to permanent collections including:


    Glasmuseet Ebeltoft – Ebeltoft, Denmark
    Mint Museum of Art – Charlotte, NC
    Corning Glass Museum – Corning, NY
    Museum of New Mexico – Santa Fe, NM
    Museum of Glass: International Center for Contemporary Art - Tacoma, WA

    Over her career, Neff has been featured in many magazine articles, including, Art in America, ArtNews, Glass Magazine, Sculpture Magazine, as well as included in hard cover publications, 3-D art/techne Aline Brandauer, 2005; and New Mexico Artists at Work, Dana Newmann.  Neff has also made two short films about her work, “Echoes in Form: Stacey Neff with the International Museum of Glass”, and and “Zig-zag: Dance to Art about Music”.  Neff has received awards including:

    Currently, Neff is Directing New Mexico Experimental Glass Workshop, pursuing an MBA, online, from Washington State University, and continuing exhibitions of her sculpture.
