    Biography

    Ann thoroughly enjoys taking photos in New Mexico.  The Land of Enchantment offers her a wide variety of cultural events full of wonderful people.   She moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico from Los Angeles, California.  Her photography has been seen in publications such as New Mexico Magazine, El Palacio, New Mexico Journey, the Santa Fe Visitor’s Guide, Santa Fean Magazine, the Santa Fe New Mexican, the New Mexico Vacation Guide, the Department of Cultural Affair’s New Mexico Treasures, the Santa Fean, LA Style, Women’s Wear Daily, The Advocate, Variety and San Francisco Focus.  Her photos are also in the following books:  Contemporary Chicana and Chicano Art, Saints and Sinners, Dos Mundos, Visions of Santa Fe, The Santa Fe Fiesta Reinvented and Christmas in Santa Fe.

    She has been recognized for her work by placing in third the New Mexico Magazine’s annual photography contest and the annual fall photography contest at the Hubbard Museum of the American West in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico where she placed second, third and two honorable mentions.

    Ann specializes in photographing cultural events such as Indian Market, Spanish Market, Fiesta, the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, ethnic dance such as matachine dancing and religious celebrations in Mexico and Guatemala.
