Zia Regional Rodeo is one of many annual rodeos held around the country as part of IGRA (International Gay Rodeo Association). One of the main purposes of all IGRA rodeos is to help raise funds to support charities within the gay and lesbian community. This year, the Zia Regional Rodeo is raising funds for four charities: Southwest Care Center (Santa Fe), New Mexico Aids Services , Horses for Heroes , and the YWCA Middle Rio Grande Women’s Program.
IGRA member associations including NMGRA – New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association support the sport of rodeo throughout the USA and Canada.
