The New Mexico Film Office Announces Season Two of ‘Longmire’ to Film in New Mexico

New Mexico Film Office director Nick Maniatis announced today the beginning of production on season two of A&E Network’s television series "Longmire." The series, produced by Warner Horizon Television, stars Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba, Young Guns) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica). Production will begin at the end of March though mid-August in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Los Alamos and throughout northern New Mexico.

The production will employ over 175 New Mexico crewmembers and over 200 New Mexico principal and background talent.

Executive Produced by Hunt Baldwin (The Closer, Trust Me), John Coveny (The Closer, Trust Me), Greer Shephard (The Closer, Nip/Tuck) and Michael M. Robin (The Closer, Nip/Tuck).  Produced by Chris Donahue (Trust Me, State of Mind) and Patrick McKee (Nip/Tuck, Northern Exposure).

Based on the bestselling novels by Craig Johnson, the contemporary crime thriller "Longmire" follows the steady and sturdy Sheriff Walt Longmire as he solves crime and keeps the peace under the open skies of Absaroka County, Wyoming.
