From a City of Santa Fe press release...

In conjunction with City of Santa Fe’s Santa Fe Creative Tourism progam, the Landscape Dreams Photo Contest offered photographers with an eye for New Mexico the opportunity to share their best shots of our state, and enter to win the grand prize, including a photography workshop in Santa Fe, four nights lodging and great photography prizes. Visit www.newmexicophotocontest.com to review the winning photos. Photographers submitted photos of places, portraits and moments that make New Mexico worth exploring.

Bernadette Buechler of Portage, Michigan won the grand prize, a weekend photography workshop in Santa Fe at the Eloquent Light Photography Workshops and four nights lodging at Two Casitas Vacation Rentals. The prize workshop is being held in conjunction with the DIY Creative Tourism Journey, a month-long celebration of do-it-yourself artistic expression.  In March 2013, artists teaching 26 different art forms will collectively offer more than 200 available workshop spaces at their homes or studios throughout the month.  Local hotels and other accommodations will offer an assortment of savings to participants in the workshops. Information can be found at www.diysantafe.org.

Finalists were selected from the entries that received the most votes and complied with all contest rules. Additional prizes won include copies of the book "Landscape Dreams, A New Mexico Portrait" courtesy of the University of New Mexico Press, tripods courtesy of Manfrotto, software courtesy of Nik Software, color calibration device courtesy of X-rite, a predesigned website courtesy of liveBooks, software courtesy of onOne Software and Alien Skin Software and camera backpacks courtesy of Lowepro.

All winning images will be featured at www.newmexicophotocontest.com throughout the year.
