Nominations are being sought for the 2013 Sustainable Santa Fe Awards for projects which either were launched, completed, or had a significant milestone in the 2012 calendar year. The purpose of the awards is to recognize model projects that are helping Santa Fe reduce its ecological footprint, mitigate carbon emissions and build resilience in the face of climate change in accordance with the Sustainable Santa Fe Plan.
This year's awards are co-hosted by the City's Sustainable Santa Fe Commission, Earth Care, the Santa Fe Green Chamber of Commerce and the Green Fire Times.
Nominations will be accepted until March 15th, 2013.

Sustainable Santa Fe Awards will be given in a wide range of sustainability areas including:
Sustainable School Awards are non-competitive awards which recognize school-based projects that engage students in the reduction of a school's impact on the environment. Public, private and charter schools may apply. Awards are given in nine Sustainable Schools Pathways and we encourage schools to pursue projects in each category. The 2013 Sustainable Santa Fe Awards are sponsored by the City of Santa Fe’s Sustainable Santa Fe Commission, Earth Care, the Santa Fe Green Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Fe Public Schools. Award winners will be announced in April and an awards ceremony will be held on the evening of April 27th at the Eldorado Hotel so mark your calendar now!
