Exercise program borrows from the dance arts, the martial arts and the healing arts
Recovering couch potatoes who may have relapsed over the holidays, with their only exercise being runs to the refrigerator between football games, need not despair.
"We kind of let up on the exercise the last couple of weeks," said Nicole Jensen, 25, who was back at it Sunday morning along with her boyfriend, Randy Hills.
They and 12 others were renewing their fitness regimens, engaging in some intense shimmying and body wiggles at Kate Latimer's Nia dance class at Body of Santa Fe fitness studio.
"Be in your radiance, be in your joy," Latimer told her students as the nonstop hour-long dance workout began. "It's all about joy for the new year."
