From a City of Santa Fe press release...

For the ninth consecutive year, Keep Santa Fe Beautiful is a national award winner, receiving a President’s Circle recognition award for high performance achievement from Keep America Beautiful.

Keep Santa Fe Beautiful coordinator Gilda Montaño will accept the award at the 60th national Keep America Beautiful national conference January 28 - February 1 in Washington, D.C.

"We are honored that Keep America Beautiful has recognized the hard work and dedication of the hundreds of citizen volunteers and business supporters who contribute to Keep Santa Fe Beautiful’s year-round efforts," said Montaño. "This award validates the shared commitment of our dedicated volunteers in helping to beautify Santa Fe and increase the awareness of our many programs. We wouldn't be able to achieve our successes and make an impact in our community without them."

Grace Massinello of Keep America Beautiful said Keep Santa Fe Beautiful met KAB’s standard of excellence by maintaining an active board/advisory council, attending at least six hours of training in the past year, remaining current on network service fees and completing a semi-annual report.

Keep Santa Fe Beautiful Inc. is a not-for-profit volunteer program dedicated to environmental education, litter awareness and prevention and beautification programs. Keep Santa Fe Beautiful Inc. sponsors the annual Spring and Fall Clean-Up Days, the school recycling program, the Adopt-a-Median program to landscape city street medians, Otra Vez Trash to Treasures, and other programs.
