Chamber Music Season

The 42nd annual Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival brings together the world’s finest musicians to perform chamber music in the City Different. This week's concerts include Alessio Bax Piano Recital (July 29), All Brahms and Orion String Quartet (July 31), All Handel (August 2) and Night Music (August 3). 

Bandstand Live!

The 2014 Santa Fe Bandstand returns to the historic Plaza with free, live evening performances running through August 28. This week's performances:

Wild, Wild West

El Rancho de Las Golondrinas presents Territorial Law and Order, an event that celebrates the Frontier lifestyle of the Wild West. The festivites take place August 1 and 2, and include a Peruvian horse show, both days.

Night Life

Designed to explore the night time economy in Santa Fe, the Night Wave project features a wide array of performances and events at six different downtown venues, July 31-Aug. 2. Nighttime activities begin at 8 p.m. and continue through 2 a.m., offering late night food options and transportation services.

Opera Season

Upcoming performances at the Santa Fe Opera include Donizetti's opera buffa, "Don Pasquale" (July 29), the enthralling historical opera "Dr. Sun Yat-sen" (July 30) and Beethoven’s only opera, "Fidelio" (July 31).

On Stage

Theater heats up in August with performances of "As You Like It," (August 1-3), "SYLVIA" (July 31 - August 15) and "The Mysterious Mr. Z" (August 2).

Salaam-Shalom

Twenty young women from Palestine and Israel will meet members of the public at this festival of music, dance, and tastes from local chefs and restaurants. Four of these young leaders will speak about their life experiences and work for peace.

Freaky Friday

Rapper and performance artist Mykki Blanco, electronic artist Pictureplane and Santa Fe's own DJ Dirt Girl perform August 1 at Skylight for the late-night  weekend festival Night Wave.

Feeling Blue

Gather the family and grab the lawn chairs, this week's free Railyard movie is 'The Blues Brothers' Friday, August 1.

Sephardic Sounds

Vanessa Paloma, singer, performer, scholar and writer, brings the lyrical sounds of Jewish Morocco to Santa Fe August 1. Vanessa is internationally known for her repertoire of Judeo-Spanish women’s songs and their role in Sephardic communities.

Arts and Crafts

The 42nd Annual Girls Inc. Arts & Crafts Show will take place on August 2 and 3 on the historic Santa Fe Plaza. Proceeds from artists’ booth fees from this popular, juried art event benefit the non-profit Girls Inc. of Santa Fe.
